Dephex.org is the personal site of Trey Manthey the long lost child of Mike Patton. The name "dephex" is a combination of the words 'defect' and 'aphex.' It doesn't have any symbolic meaning except that I think it sounds cool and is hard to spell.

HOW CLEVER!

I used to aspire towards putting a biography up here, but I came to terms with the fact that a) people don't care b) my life has never been that interesting.

I AM TALL,

The truth is that I have never had a firm grasp on who I am. The point of this website is an exersize. Perhaps in futility. Maybe after this has been going on for a while, dephex.org will define me. You will be able to download me.

But back to the site. The front page is my journal/blog/brain dump/superficial rants. You can find older posts in the archive.

BORING.

My blog is exceptional and interesting compared to most weblogs because I have chosen to use blogger, a site updating tool. I used to want to work for them thar folks at Blogger, but he fired all his employees.

Also worth checking out is the "poetry" section. It is all written by my friends and updated as needed. Some of it is crap, and some I cherish, mostly the latter.

IF YOU ARE A GUY,

I will redesign the whole shebang at the drop of a machinehead, so watch out! I redesign frequently because this site is like my practice arena. See I want to be a web designer when I grow up and I have to "spar" here where I can't "hurt anyone" (with bad web design) so that I will be able to kick my clients asses in the real world. You know, with great websites. Damn, I took that metaphor too far. Oh yeah, you can hire me.
